Your hosts at Pekapeka are Ben, Annet and Ties. The first letters of our names spell the word ´bat´ and our respect for Maori culture and language made us decide to name our house ´Pekapeka´ after the native bat.
We are proud of Tai Tokerau, ´our´ Far North of New Zealand where Matauri Bay, Hihi Beach, Taipa Bay, Doubtless Bay, Taupo Bay, Tauranga Bay, Coopers Beach and Cable Bay are only a few of the beautiful beaches that you will almost have to yourself. All these are within a half hour drive of Pekapeka.
You can launch your boat from a choice of boat ramps in the area such as Totara North, Whangaroa Harbour, Mangonui and Taipa. Good boat parking at Pekapeka available . Whangaroa golfcourse is around the corner.
Our Pekapeka breakfast is a nice selection of fresh products from the area, home made jams and bread, fresh local or Dutch coffee and tea.
Enjoy your lunch or dinner in Kaeo, Whangaroa or Mangonui, there is a lovely selection of restaurants to go. From a nice coffee to fish ´n chips and even Tai food!

Turn off Taratara Road on SHW 10, between Kaeo and Mangonui.
After 1500 meters Hobbs Road goes straight ahead.
Look out for the white house on the hill on your right.
That’s the place to be spoiled for life !
